CALLING ALL FILIPINO PHOTOGRAPHERS!

Or rather - PHOTOGRAPHERS WHO TAKE PICTURES OF THINGS IN THE PHILIPPINES (You never know, there could be a German tourist with a tumblr going around the Philippines taking nice photos). Please help use your talent and skill to keep this blog going! For the past couple of years, I’ve been getting most of my photos from Flickr and sometimes I search the ‘philippines’ tag for nice things to reblog.

I want to keep this blog active because I really do want to help the Philippine tourism industry in some way, but my old methods take too much time with work and all. So if you want to help contribute, please follow these guidelines!

  1. Photos must be of Philippine places, food, bits of culture, etc. FILIPINO RELATED.
  2. Please follow the format I’ve been using for all my captions. Explained below.
  3. If the photo is of a place - please include a caption of where it is. The name/city/province, etc. If someone would want to go there, it would make it easier if you were more specific. (EXAMPLE)
  4. If the photo is of food - please include the name and perhaps, trivia of what it is, what’s it made of. Adding an English name translation would be good for the non-Filipinos viewing this blog. (EXAMPLE)
  5. If the photo is of a historical/cultural site - please include where it is, and maybe some historical trivia about it. (EXAMPLE)
  6. If the photo is of an upcoming event/festival - please include where it is, some information, and the dates. (EXAMPLE)
  7. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE PHOTO IS YOURS.
  8. Finally, submit the link to your photo here or tag your photo with the tag ‘vivafilipinas' so it's easier for me to check it out!

Finally, please understand and don’t be offended if I don’t reblog your photo. I spent lot of time maintaining a certain standard to all the photos posted on this blog, so please understand that I’m not going to reblog every Instagram or camera-phone taken photo. If you don’t really understand what I’m saying here, feel free to send me a PM.

Right now, I have 40,000+ followers (but I don’t know how many of them are still active haha), so hopefully I can help give your photos some attention too! Win-win, diba?

Thank you so much, guys! Hopefully this works out. Let’s all help Philippine tourism in our own little way. Reblog this, tell your photographer friends and stuff. :D
