The Philippines isn't perfect. It has its flaws, it has its problems, and for many of its people, these are the only things they see. Through this blog, I hope, in some way, to show the beauty of the Philippines - from the fields, the mountains, the cities, the coastlines, the bays, the beaches, to the people, food, and the mundane - the beauty rarely noticed and not known by many of its own people.

Sapin-Sapin is a kind of kakanin (rice cake) that is said to originate from the northern province of Abra. Known for its different colored layers, it’s often eaten with grated coconut or latik layered on top.
